☃️ Skoda Fabia 1.2 Htp Engine Problems

On every cold start engine is keeping revs on about 1100rpm even when outside temperature is very high, talking about 30 Celsius. I checked, with obd11 scanner, live data and it's showing me intake temp, engine output temp, oil temp and ambient temp all working properly (thought that maybe engine coolant temp sensor was faulty). Original compression test (done on a warm but probably not full temp engine) was on 21st August, so 4 weeks ago, and result was 11 / 9.5 / 9.5 Today we have: Cold Engine: 11 / 9 / 7.75 Cold Engine + Oil: 12.5 / 10.5 / 9 - All roughly + 1.5 but cold engine presumably tolerances are greater Hot Engine: 11.5 / 9.5 / 8.25 Our 2009 Skoda Fabia Combi HTP doesn't have an automatic transmission but it already has 240,000km on its counter and is still going strong. We had the timing chain changed recently just to be on the safe side as the 3 cylinder engines have a bad reputation to die early due to timing chain failure. The noise was still there even without the belt, which means that it's not the AC or any other pully that's spinning by the belt. Next step was to determine if the noise was coming from the timing or the water pump. Opening the engine discovered that the water pump is on the left side of the engine, and the noise was coming from the right side The battery location in a Skoda Fabia can typically be found in the engine bay, but may be in the trunk, fender or inside of the vehicle. You may need to remove the air filter housing, a plastic engine cover or parts of the cowl to find the battery in your Fabia. See exactly where the battery is located in your 2010 Skoda Fabia. Check the fluids when you get the car as they are at hand over. Check what the tyre pressures are at and that gives an idea if the tech / fitter that did the PDI bothered to reset from the delivery pressure. Reset the TPMS. 1.0 MPI's have done OK in the CitigoUp!Mii's be that Euro 5 or 6's. No, you are wrong, chain related failures are rare on mk2 HTP engines and usually associated with extreme lack of regular oil/filter changes or wrong oil used. You are probably confusing this with 1.2 tsi engines (2010-2012) or very early Mk1 fabia engines (2000-2003) Should be plenty of good HTP engines to be had from accident write offs, but Thanked: 11 Times.
